CAPE TOWN, SOUTH AFRICA, March 10, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Roxy Towill will be cycling her way to success for an extremely worthwhile cause this March when she participates in her first Argus Tour. For those who do not know Roxy Towill, she is a surfer, a really busy surfer. She is a qualified chef, a three-time South African National Surfing Champion, winner of Western Province and South African top surfing awards, former captain of the Western Province Senior Surfing team (2005), and she owner of the Roxy Surf School. The surf school facilitates surf sessions for girls in an exciting and safe environment, where girls can experience a new sport, interact with other young women and get to have physical fun in the outdoors and away from the TV.

Roxy may be a dolphin out of water when she participates in the Argus tour, where she will cycle the 109 kms to raise funds for five deserving and amazing teenagers, and she is determined to succeed. She teaches Roger, Papi, Elroy, Benjamin and Dylan at her surf school. Roxy will be cycling in order to continue to provide financial aid to the five surf-loving teenagers.

She says" I do sincerely believe that these teenagers can achieve even more in life with continued guidance, mentorship and financial support. When the boys are not at school they are at the beach, surfing or teaching surfing lessons to raise money to assist their families." Her goal is to raise funds to continue financial support for these remarkable teenagers so that they can attend school and flourish.

She continues, "My goal is to raise R5000 to contribute towards the continuous support of these teens assisting them in becoming the next generation of healthy, innovative, values-based and responsible young community leaders ensuring a sustainable future for South Africa. I would like to encourage you to support this cause by making a financial contribution to assist me in reaching my goal."

You will find this group of happy teenagers playing on the beach when they are not in the Muizenberg surf, and many who visit the beach would not suspect the extreme hardships which Roger, Papi, Elroy, Benjamin and Dylan have had to endure on a daily basis. They have had few opportunities in their lives, and they have risen to the challenge of harrowing circumstances to fight poverty and change their lives in a positive way. There has been a combination of generous support from benefactors and the fighting survival spirit of the boys that has contributed to this.

The boys have decided to live a drug free life, away from the desperate influences of gangsters. With the fantastic sporting opportunity offered by Roxy, surfing has had a formidable impact on these young adults. The teenagers are made to think for themselves, try new ideas and discover new strengths and inner talents, which will lead them to engage in a positive outlook on life and increased inner confidence.

Towill continues, "I would like to dedicate my 109kms to these teens, who have shown what determination and a positive mindset can achieve."
